Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a terrorist organisation formed on 8th April 2013, and works on the ideology of extremist Islamism. It is expected to have around 30,000 fighters with a budget of more than US$1 billion. The group is headed by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who is claimed to have been killed by Russia in an airstrike by its military.
